@3xm.marketingIf you’re on LinkedIn, chances are you get a few messages a week into your inbox asking you to ‘jump on a call’ or for 20 minutes of your time. If you didn’t know, most people doing this are using the same template they got from a LinkedIn course, or from an Alex Hormozi book. I’m also willing to bet that pretty much all of them are getting very few leads from this approach. See, no one likes being sold to by someone they don’t know, even if it’s dressed up as a “highly valuable” “no strings” attached call. Sure, you might get some success if you send enough messages, but is it the best use of your time? Almost certainly not – there are plenty of other ways to grow your audience and generate awareness of what you do. For example, last week, I added 1,820 new people to our email list, got a 38% open rate on the first email, and 80 people clicking through to watch my video. And guess what? I can email those people again and again and again until they unsubscribe. I’m not trying to sell them anything – the game I’m playing is just to add some value, help them get to know us, and if they like us, they’ll probably buy something from us one day. If they don’t, they won’t, but we’re not horrible people and we know what we’re doing, so the odds are pretty good. Rather than just chucking mud against a wall and seeing what sticks, with speculative one-off messages to people that don’t want to receive them, we’re building a database, sending them useful stuff they like and giving them opportunities to take a step towards us. If you’re wasting your time on LinkedIn messages and you’re not getting the results you want, maybe you should do the same. #sales #marketing #fyp #foryou #linkedin #alexhormozi #smallbusiness #businessgrowth
